MIDS is the first complex dedicated system for automation of UI design, prototyping, and usability testing that meets standard process requirements of cellular operators, handset manufacturers, content and service providers.

MIDS Functionality:

• Interface Editor - visual tool for creation of the interface story board


• PC Emulator – early UI prototyping tool


• Handset Emulator - for usability testing and user experience research on real devices, including remote testing


• Usability Testing Control Center – for setting up interface usability researches, performing remote usability testing, recording usage data (key presses, selections, timing) of research respondents and collecting results of the tests


• Analysis Tools – for calculating the research results and measuring interface usability according to customers’ pre-defined standards


• Specification Export – provides automatic generation of functional specifications for the programmers

MIDS Applicability:

• Support of Application GUI: dialogs, various controls, images, animations, hyperlinks, soft keys, scroll bars, etc.


• Support of native mobile device interfaces: screens, touchscreens, buttons, text fields, sliders etc.


• Support of standard mobile interfaces: USSD, STK, WAP, MMS, SMS, IVR and combined interfaces
• Support of any other interface platform with minimum customization: PC window-based interfaces, navigation systems, remote controls, etc.
